GordonRides is proud to announce that the MegaWhirl has officially opened at Steeplechase Park! Opening the first weekend of the summer, we had many enthusiastic riders and are very proud to debut this inaugural version of the MegaWhirl at Coney Island! In the coming weeks we’ll add pictures of the MegaWhirl in it’s new home.

GordonRides, LLC is thrilled to announce our first ride, the MegaWhirl, which was unveiled on June 18 in Plainview, Texas. The MegaWhirl is a collaboration between GordonRides, LLC and Larson International, Inc., with engineering provided by Ride Centerline, LLC.
A touring group from American Coaster Enthusiasts received the very first rides on the MegaWhirl during their visit to the Larson facility in Plainview. Below are some of the first photographs of the ride. Additionally, GordonRides has created a preview video for the MegaWhirl, and posted it on YouTube – please follow this link.
The prototype seen in the video and photos is currently available for purchase, and orders can be placed for new units starting this summer. This website will be updated in the next few days with a new page for the MegaWhirl, which will include new photos and eventually a new video as well. A formal press release will be issued at a later date.

The MegaWhip development is moving ahead full throttle! All of the details have been kept under wraps so far, and we still can’t report any of the major developments from the past few months. At some point between now and the IAAPA trade show in November (probably in the summer), there will be a major announcement posted here, which will shed some light on the development of the MegaWhip, and what to expect at IAAPA 2010!
GordonRides, LLC will be at the IAAPA trade show in Las Vegas on November 17 – 20! Decided not to go with the booth this year, but will still be plugging the MegaWhip. Speaking of the MegaWhip, engineering is wrapping up, and a test carriage is being built as this message is being posted! Check the website in the next few weeks for some new images, news, and photos!
